In laymans' terms (my terms!) what does this give me? Presumably access to those SSB and CW stations/broadcasts? But what are they?! Are they of 'entertainment value' or are they 'ham' type things? Typically what are these stations/broadcasts? Will they 'just appear' amidst other stations whereas without the unit I would not have picked them up? Can someone explain please? BTW, SW is currently non-operational so I can't just plug it in and see what happens. Maybe the switch is faulty and has been bypassed (or simply stays on, although it does 'click'), or is it only functional in battery mode? in other words, when using the TN12 is the radio on/off function controlled only by the inline switch associated with the TN12 power pack? I don't presently have any batteries fitted. However, the actual on/off switch on the radio set does not appear to do anything? You can turn it to 'off' and the radio still plays. At first I thought this was someone's mod, but it isn't, it's pukka, part of the TN12 as new. Curiously, the pack comes with an inline switch in its mains line to turn power on and off to the set. The set is fitted with the pukka Grundig mains power pack TN12 that fits inside.
